The closing ceremony of Nankai University’s 2017 Charming Materials Summer Camp for Outstanding Students was recently held at the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Vice President Yan Chunhua hosted the ceremony and awarded the students the Outstanding Trainee Certificate.
Vice President Yan delivered a lecture titled The Charm of the Rare Earth to the trainees, introducing development process, research frontier, application value and strategic significance of the rare earth elements.
Vice President Yan stressed that the 2017 Charming Materials Summer Camp for Outstanding Students is an important communication platform and a special opportunity to meet society’s demands for talent. He hoped the students will have a chance to understand themselves further, enhance self-confidence, and find an appropriate academic path to continue their studies. Vice President Yan sincerely welcomed the students to Nankai University, a place where they can work alongside and build an ideal.
